Accessing the internet on a mobile phone using a wireless router?

hi.

my mobile phone (sony k770i) is capable of browsing the internet using wap - but can i use phone to connect to my existing wireless make friends at home and browse the internet through my phone that way?
if yes...how?! i can't give the impression of being to find anything on this online...
if no, then why not?!
