I want a sidekick 3 but I'm next to Sprint.?

I'm only 14 so my dad take care of everything, but he wont consent to me switch to T-mobile, I can buy a sidekick on ebay or something. Will it work if I but a sidekick off of ebay and afterwards take it to sprint so they can switch the phones?
