My phone is locked to China Mobile?

my phone is locked to China Mobile, a company in China. Does anyone know how to unlock it

I live within China as an ex pat from the USA and I have a phone that uses China Mobile.

I am not sure what brand, what the limitations of your phone are, etc.

But beside my phone, it is as simple as walking into another cell phone company and getting a new sim card for that phone company.

Are you using your phone surrounded by the states? If so, it needs to be an international phone as the cell phone systems within China and the USA are not compatible. They use different technology. Some phones will only work within one system, others will work in two or more systems. I don't know how several cell phone systems are scattered around the world, but I regard as it is 3. But its probably more.

If your phone is a single band system, and you are surrounded by the USA, then you are out of luck.
