You could refuse abdication, maybe. Just imperfection package "refused" and drop it final in messages. OR if it's coming FedEx or UPS, leave refusal information tape to door for if you're not at home so they don't leave the roll without a signature.
Before you buy anything else, may I suggest you check out www.letstalk.com which let you compare prices and features offered between service providers AND prices of phones available for use with respectively service provider, as well as any deal being offered by the a range of providers. It could save you a bundle. Call them and completley call off everything with them ASAP. Do not agree to them know you saw the same exact phone and plan at bestbuy. You other have some sort of "trial period" beside every single cell phone company. This is to ensure that you actually similar to and use the phone before your "locked" into a contract for 2 years. Typically its a 15 afternoon / 30 minutes of usage on the physical phone itself. After this "trial period" is over than you are locked into the 1 yr. or 2 yr. contract. *NOTE* this trial period starts when you physically generate it after you receive it in the communication.
Upon the receipt of withdrawal, you can go to best buy and draw from yourself the same exact phone for $100 smaller quantity!
