You have to buy an unlocked iphone which you can find on Ebay. I have a co-worker that bought an unlocked iphone and uses it on T-mobile, AT&T is the solely authorized carrier within the US . I plugged my AT&T sim card and it worked no problem. Careful about the firmware updates....It's a cool phone.
