Sidekick 3?

I already have family plan with T-Mobile. Will it cost more to add a Sidekick into the family plan? On my phone I just want to include the unlimited plan.. but NO EXTRA minutes. Can I do that?

Well, you CAN do this. But if you have a family plan with T-Mobile, to add an extra line, regardless of if you use it for calling or not, it will cost you $10 plus the Sidekick Unlimited fee, UNLESS you are switching phones.

If you are switching phones, you will not be able to get the instant rebate offer, so plan to spend $400 for the phone. If you currently have any text messaging plans/data plans for your current phone, they will be erased from your bill, and instead, you will pay $20 extra per month (Sidekick Unlimited Add-On).

If you are adding another line (ie; You and your sibling share a family plan), you ARE eligible for the instant rebate on the Sidekick. So then, you would only have to pay about $250 (without the Mail In Rebate). Then, with your extra line, you will pay $9.99 per month, plus the Sidekick Unlimited Add-on ($20).

If you wanted to, you could create another line entirely. You could choose the Sidekick and the Data Only plan, but you would just pay the same amount if you added on to your family plan, but without access to minutes.
