Can a broken iPhone ringer switch be fixed?

I dropped my iPhone while it was on silent and it broke the switch. Now my phone is stuck on silent. Does anyone know how I can fix it, if it's even possible?

I'm assuming you're talking more or less the original iPhone and not the 3G. Though I obviously can't see the destroy myself, I'd bet you have to get the switch itself replaced, which I believe is member of the whole back plate of the phone. You can capture it repaired, the question is just how.

If there's no sign of prejudice to the phone (no dents, even small ones, around the the ringer switch) and it's under warranty, just stir to an Apple store or call 8OO-APL-CARE if you're not close to one.

If there is disrupt, they'll want to charge you for repair. Last I checked repair for an original 8GB iPhone was $199 through Apple, and they of late replace the entire phone.
