Can a UTstarcom 1450 use a SIM card?

When I lived in Atlanta, Ga I bought a UTstarcom 1450 from MetroPCS phone company. For those of you who don't know, it is approaching Cricket phone company. I now live surrounded by Bonaire, Ga where at hand is no MetroPCS or Cricket. I wanted to bring my phone activated beside a company like cingular, verizon, t-mobile, etc. I own been told I involve a SIM card to activate a phone beside these companies, but I'm not sure if my phone will accept it. Does anybody know whether or not I can buy a SIM card and it truly be compatible with my phone to the point that i can use it beside a big name company? If at hand are any alternate solutions, feel free to permit me know.

Can you download ringtones for free on the alltel hue?

Answers:    T-Mobile and AT&T use SIM cards (GSM) while Sprint and Verizon don't (CDMA). Your phone, the UTStarcom 1450, is a CDMA device and will only work on CDMA networks. It doesn't hold a SIM card slot and won't work on T-Mobile and AT&T. You would also have a easier said than done time getting the phone to work on another carriers' CDMA network. You would be better rotten getting a new phone near your new shipper.
