How do I repair my iPhone?

My iPhone 3G 16GB is acting strange. I opened iPod, and now I can't close it. I can't receive back to the home screen, but I can put it to sleep and rouse it up perfectly. I had put the iPhone surrounded by charge when I opened iPod, but now even after taking stale the charge, It keeps displaying the battery status on the major screen.

So what do I do? Do I continue charging, or do I dawdle till the charge is fully discharged? Or Is there an another way? Is this some mode of serious problem?

Answers:
Reset your iphone. Press and Hold both buttons (the one on top and the home button) until you see the Apple logo. Don't stop when it asks if you want to swipe to turn off...keep holding adjectives the way until the Apple appears...should fix most lockups. Also make sure you enjoy the latest firmware update.

Have you updated it recently?
Plug it surrounded by to your computer and check it out. If you aren't on 2.1 then you need to update it!

... transport it in where you bought it and update them about your problems - It would be under a warranty!
