How do roaming charges work?

I'm with Rogers, and I'm going to Toronto shortly. If I was of late to text and not call somebody any in Toronto or Winnipeg, will I be charged? (I only certificate people within my 10).

I may put together a couple of calls - so if so, how much are you charged for roaming calls, incoming or outgoing?

They don't charge you if you only just have your phone on outside of your province do they?

Answers:
There are no roaming charges when using your phone on the Rogers network. You may see long distance charges though. You didn't specify what nouns your phone number is associated with, so I can only guess from the wording within your question that it is a Winnipeg number. In that case, after all voice calls you receive while surrounded by Toronto would be long distance regardless of where the call is coming from. If you are placing a telephone call within Toronto then it would be local usage, but placing a ring up to anywhere else (for example, Winnipeg) would be long distance. Text messaging is not subject to long distance so it would still be unlimited to people on your My10 list. Long distance is usually billed at an extra $0.35/minute. No you are not charged if you simply own your phone turned on while travelling in Canada.
