Is unlocking ringtones free or do i own to payment?

My brother and I have different kinds of motorola phones though he have one of the default ringtones that come with the phone and I close to it but it won't let me transfer it to my phone through bluetooth. Is at hand a way to unlock it and sent it to my phone or is there some sort of licensing or something and I'm not allowed to, save i'll use a different ringtone but thanks for any help on this. I'm a total noob when it comes to this caring of stuff.

Well yes there is such a piece. If you go to bluetooth settings there may be something that allows you to distribute sounds or noises via bluetooth. If not, I'm sorry, but you can always contact bluetooth customer service or your cell phone provider. They are thoroughly helpful in this stuff.
