Should I draw from a G1 or lurk for the G2?

The G1 doesn't let you run apps off the card and also hear lots of other problems with it. Is it still beta, should I wait?

neither I would get the iPhone 3G, I hear alot of bad things about the T-Mobile G1 including extremely discouraging reception problems.
