How can I read messages MMS from..

Just go through and delete songs and videos that you don't want anymore. Also, if you hold pictures on your phone, those take up a lot of room depending on how frequent you have, so sort through those.

Your recommended mobile phone?

A couple things to consider:

(1) Do you live within an area with AT&T 3G coverage?

(2) Would you use the built surrounded by GPS function of the 3G iPhone?

These are the two main hardware advancements of the the Iphone 3G. If you dont requirement these/ wouldnt use them then you should probably just try to delete some stuff from your first gen iphone.

Keep within mind that AT&T charges more for service for the iPhone 3G than they do for the first gen iPhone
My solution... get a PDA and a cheap cell phone. PDA's are now dirt cheap but does everything a phone can except nickname people. However, a lot of the newer PDA's can control your phone via bluetooth and you can record and call people through them. I enjoy a Palm T|X, great little thingy, has Microsoft Office and internet browsing on it too and you can buy a wireless keyboard.
Hello

I would wait! apple are going to release a different 32gb version very shortly.

Check out www.freemyphone.co.uk great site for anyone who owns an iphone.
