Should I buy a T-mobile G1 Phone presently?

OK so here is the deal. I can get the T-mobile G1 very soon for $299 on October 22. Well my contract with T-mobile is up in Dec.28. If I keep on till then i can get the G1 for $180. So immediately this is a hard decision for me to engineer. I really want the phone I can get it next week wednesday or jsut skulk till dec. What should I do?What would you do?

I am within the same situation as yourself. But my contract doesn't end any time soon! I hold a two year contract that doesn't end until march of 2009. BUT I want the brand new phone and am so ready to get it! It have allot of cool features and if you really want it, then go carry it. If you have the money to splurge then jump ahead. But if not, two months isn't that much time! Either way, the phone is HOTT! It have allot of cool features!

It really comes down to which color you want and how much you want to pay. I really wanted the white one but it will not be available until nov or dec so that tmobile can fix the "paint chipping issue". I am eligible for the 179 price and i really cant dally for the g1 so i will go ahead and get the brown. If you want it immediately and cant wait go for the black or brown and income 299. however, if you want the white g1 and can wait to get the benefit of paying smaller quantity, wait for the white g1 to be available along with your full discount.

well its simply 2 more months so u should wait unless u really REALLY need a modern phone or cant wait :D

I think you should get the T-Mobile G1, it will be one of the hottest phones on the marketplace, too bad i am with verizon, otherwise i will over adjectives it.
