What brand of cell phone do you prefer and why?

I was thinking about getting a phone, and I considered necessary to hear people's opinion before I if truth be told buy one.

This really depends on what you want from your phone. If you are big into texting and nought much else, you should go for a tmobile sidekick. If you like to use the internet and stuff on your phone stir with the iphone (it also has abundantly of applications you can download which are pretty cool). These days smart phones are the way to go for really hardcore phone users. They hold wifi, texting capabilities, and a lot of cool things. The iphone, HTC Diamond, HTC touch pro, android phone, blackberry are but a few. I intuitively like the HTC touch pro and iphone and am trying to decide which i should catch. They are expensive though so depending on what you want from your phone, i hope this helped you decide. =D

it really depends on what service u have. but some phones that i wouldn't prefer are the Motorola Razr. seriously of people have told me that they despicable that phone, because it broke so easily and it took a long time for it to load alot of things.

i would sorta suggest the Lg Chocolate. That's the phone i enjoy. you can get it in various different colors. it is a VERY sensitive phone tho, which is the only bad piece about it. and u have to hold verizon

i would suggest the T Mobile Sidekick all the way, it's cute.. but big.

very well I used to have a sidekickLX and I love it until they started ripping me off. If you're into texting alot, afterwards the sidekick is for you. It's really convinient when it comes to texting. but i do have to warn you, Sharp(maker of sidekick) rips you past its sell-by date for everything. Charges you for every ringtone and background you put on your phone.

BUt right now I enjoy the iphone3g. I love it, texting takes a while to get used to. But you can do anything and everything on this phone. It's a fun phone to own with and addicting, but also quite the pocket hole puncher. haha it's expensive.

Yeah it's good to get opinion before buying one!
And it really depends on your personal choice and how much you can afford. And it also depends if you want to buy a phone and then buy a service for it OR you buy a service and afterwards choose which phones are available. The services include: Rogers, Fido (owned by Rogers), Telus, Koodo (owned by Telus), Virgin Mobile, Bell, At&t, etc. And you should also consider that what type of phone do you want: Flip phone, slider, turner, or simple.

Each company has special phones which are expected for different purposes: Music, Camera, Video, Multi-tasking, etc. Oh and they all have these functions, but they may singular be good in one.

Sony:

If you want something that's hot and more towards the music, afterwards I suggest the Ericsson series. These phones have very angelic music functions, and they also have a lot of memory (upto 8 GB). These phones produce excellent nouns quality. But a problem with them is that they MAY not be tremendously good for texting, because the keys aren't as strong. But you can file fine and overall they are very nice.

If you want a camera type of phone, then you should run with the Cybershot series.

Nokia:

Nokia is probably the most advanced in phones. Their phones are remarkably expensive - not too much - but they are worth it. Nokia's are meant for multi-tasking, music, camera, editing, and many more things. But they mostly look close to a professional phones. You should check out the "N Series" cell phones.

Motorola:

Motorola's are very compact. either slim or small. The Razr looks exceedingly nice from the outside. but it's actually not so good on the inside. And it might break to smoothly. The Motorola Krazr is meant for music, but it's not very moral. But if you want something cheap, then go next to it. Oh, there is a new Motorola Rokr, so you can check that out too! So yeah, if you want something cheap, run with it.

LG:

LG Chocolates are actually nice phones, but they tend to be vastly sensative. Like the main keys on the top aren't buttons, they are close to touch pads, so if you touch it lightly the button would press.

LG Shines are really nice. They are stainless steel, so it's very unique. And if you receive the silver colored, the platform is like a mirror, and the screen is similar to mirror when it is turned off. So instead of carrying a mirror around lol or going to the bathroom to see what you look like. lately look in the mirror. They may not be so good surrounded by music, but they are actually very nice.They come in flip phones and now most commonly sliders.

Samsung:

I really don't know going on for Samsung phones, but they should be average phones. They also have good cameras. You can buy it if you want a simple phone.

Blackberry:

Blackberry's are Multi-tasking phones. They enjoy a few programs that other phones may not have. And instead of those normal key to select, it has a tiny ball that you can use. But they aren't thoroughly good for texting. You can buy them if you need a smart phone.

Apple:

Apple iPhones - the most wait phone seen in years! The phone have everything you need. There is actually a million things you can right to be heard about the iPhone. It's very nice looking, and it's highly sturdy. The only thing is that it is a touch phone, so you won't receive that teenage texting feeling and stuff. But if you hold a iPhone, there are many ways to show rotten with it. The only article about it is that the phone is kinda heavy (heavy considered contained by phones) and it's not safe to take out anywhere raison d`être it may get stolen. But this phone is probably the best phone ever currently. I would recommend this to you.

To answer your question directly, I'd jump with the Sony Ericsson w580i because it's a very nice phone, it have a fitness program so like when you walk, it counts your steps, and when you run it checks your calories. LG Chocolate three. I Gig of memory for the music players. Can fit a regular headphones contained by the phone to listen to it. Has a big display. Good speaker on the front.

My choice of brand would depend on the purpose.

Music ------- Sony ericsson walkman series NOKIA music phones are not that good and can't even stand a randomness

Camera ------- Sony ericsson cybershot series

If for ruggedness and stability and in general for rough use i prefer NOKIA they are largely sturdy

If you would sacrifice stability for ease of use and Guarenteed QUALITY i would suggest SONY ERICSSON
