Is it possible to use the iphone with any other service than beside cingular?

No information is but available on whether the iPhone will be able to be unlocked efficiently or not. historically in times past, some GSM phones have proved tough to remove unlocking from, and I would suppose with Apple's robust experience of the hardware and their own operating system installed, this will fall contained by the tougher end of the spectrum for unlockability. However, rest assured someone will integer it out. When this happens, it should work for voice and most possible SMS with another delivery service such as T-Mobile, but will probably have information settings locked into the software much like a Sidekick for T-Mobile.
You could unlock it and use it with any GSM delivery service in the world as long as the right frequency band are supported in your service nouns..
