Answers: If you want to furnish it to someone else, it's better to simply connect to iTunes.
Then click on it, and click restore.
That will reinstall the entire operating system (as opposed to doing it on the iPhone where on earth it just erases everything and resets it).
Also, you'll enjoy to pop the SIM card out (top of the iPhone) and they will have to walk to the AT&T store to get a fresh SIM card.From the home screen, Tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Contents and Settings.
