Can i buy a o2 iphone, unlock it and not have to recompense a monthly contract?

Answers:    yes, you can.. but if you not comfortable the step, it would be good to gain one unlocked version instead.
The problem is, if you buy one OUT of contract it will more than plausible be more expensive, though I don't know if it is more or less than a breach of contract. However, unlocking it is a different story. Some features will be fixed, if not impossible altogether, and the process may basically leave you near a brick. Right now adjectives they have to unlock them is hack them, which is risky business. I suppose it's POSSIBLE, but not the best course of action.

Edit: Sorry, you can't buy one out of contract, but if you buy one WITH a contract and after CANCEL the contract, you will be hit with a Breach of Contract Fee and be charged the rest of the price of the phone, both of which will produce your wallet much lighter.
well you can own prepaid service where you buy a dependable amount of minutes a set price from most service providers. you can use your phone until your mintues run out. you would just hold recharge it when you run out of mintues. al you would need is a sim card from a servicce provider. this is possible if you hold any unlocked phone with sim cards. Nope, because you will own to buy the phone, and sign a contract to 02 for lb35 a month, minimum contract of 18 months
You'll end up paying for the phone, unlocking it and later spending lb35x18 (lb630) for the contract which you wont use.
Yeah, and unlocked Iphone runs all applications!

no it is without a solution cause when you buy a contract its amonthly levy until you the contract ends so if your not even using the contract sim you will still have to foot yes you can but still will have to take-home pay the monthly contract. better send a note to santa or buy one pay as you jump
