4gb was tossed , few required it!probably they realized tht not a soul was buying it, and they have to give a hundred dollar rebate to everyone alread ycuz they r getin wacky tht the price came down
My guess is Steve Jobs planned this adjectives along because as a clever business man he understands how unplanned most of us humans are. Yes there are the few of us that are not impressed by christen brands and whistles and bells but 85-90 percent of us humans will buy something because we want what we want spontaneously. For example, that neighbor next door who bought the expensive Mercedes but can not afford the insurance but they gross sure it sits out in front of their house everyday for everyone within the neighborhood to see. Like I said at the beginning of this paragraph, he know exactly what he was doing and profoundly of us fell for it, except for me.those iphones are cool.
i think making them outrageously expensive made them must-haves for well-to-do tech geeks. STATUS!

Easy ... the holiday season is coming up. The price dropped to make it more competitive. They enjoy sold almost a million of them .. and want to do another before Jan 1st!
Smart move dropping the price immediately gives associates time to get one until that time the holidays! And the $100 to prior purchasers to use at Apple stores or on .com .. is genius. How abundant will spend just $100?? Marketing at its best!
