How do you turn up the volume of when someone calls you on an iphone?

i can narrowly hear the person im discussion to when i answer the phone and i was wondering if theres anyway to turn that up.

Answers:    I hold 3 suggestions

1 use the wired headset
2 use a bluetooth headset (we use the Jawbone)
3 upgrade to 1.1.1 , where the volume is a bit louder.

PS the volume toggle increases volume when you are making a phone up, but just change the ring volume or ipod volume when not making a call.
on the side, the black button. push the top for complex volume and the bottom of it to lower it. Its on the left side.
