Should I wait for the 3G iPhone? Or buy one presently?
I am contemplating on whether to buy an iPhone now or hang around for the 3G model to arrive. I have read plentiful articles that have stated that the 3G iPhone model will arrive within 60 days. I have also read that the alien iPhone model will bring improvements over the previous one, such as an OLED screen, which would upgrade form factor and use less battery-operated power, and the new model would even include GPS. I guess my fundamental question is that will the 3G model be worth it? Would nearby be any real big difference between the 3G nouns on the new iPhone and the EDGE nouns on the current one? Also, would there be a big increase within the price of the new model AND the rate plan for the phone? Thanks!

The regular iPhone i.e. out right now, have GPS. Maybe you could buy the regular iPhone now. The 3G iPhone will probably be much more expensive.

The current iPhone doesn't own GPS, rather they use cell tower triangulation and Wi-Fi hotspots. It's approximate in suburbs, but within most cities it's pretty accurate (demonstrated at the January event as the circle was pretty small).
The unmarked iPhone is speculated to have GPS, but not a soul knows that for sure.
3G is faster, unsurprisingly...but I find myself no use for that speed. What are you doing that requires broadband connection anyway? You can't download anything. I guess YouTube, but doing a tour, I'm not concerned too much about YouTube element whilst I'm driving =O.
It depends on what you want...people who buy it immediately will say they've have it two months longer than the 3G people...heck, the society who first bought it can say that they've have it for a year earlier than the folks who waited for 3G...which is ample time to save up for the 3G anyway.

The plans would stay like peas in a pod...most phones right now are 3G and you don't see anyone paying extra =).
With 3G the internet speed will be faster. But if you don't need a nippy internet connection than buying the current iPhone is a better hypothesis b/c the new altered copy will be more expensive. It might also have video calling.
Being an iPhone user right immediately I cannot complain EDGE internet is not that bad. But I don't believe any investigational version of the phone will come out for a while down the road. The monthly phone at the moment is not that doomed to failure and most likely and newer iPhone revision will be more expensive.
