Should i get the iphone or an itouch and a regular cell phone?
Answers: Uhh... killacfromdanyc...16 GB is out for the iPhone...it released two months ago...
It depends on what you want...If you want iPhone, you pretty much enjoy to have AT&T right very soon...otherwise it's not worth it.
The iPhone has:
The iPhone's camera is wearing clothes (it really is)...I've taken photos that people are approaching "I thought you didn't have an SLR!"...but afterwards again, I would never replace a camera with a cell phone (not until approaching ten years later)...there's just no cellphone that can meeting the functionality of a real camera.
If you want to journal videos, know that in that is no way (currently...at hand are two apps in nouns [for the June release if Apple allows the bypass of the violation of the TOS]...someone else's and mines) to narrative videos right in a minute...even the jailbroken video capture is laggy.
Okay, adjectives that was a tangent.
Anyway, to report you the truth, you either receive an iPhone or you get a cell phone that can double as a music player...an iPod Touch and a cell phone is a short time ago a waste of money.
iPhone is really nice (and the June update will clear it even nicer) but I have to confess that if you want top of the line stuff (3G, 5 MP camera, GPS, etc.) you won't find it within the iPhone. But all surrounded by all, it's a correct phone for someone who doesn't really care just about speeds of web browsing, replacing a camera, locating accurately where on earth they are, etc,
the iphone is good if you already hold AT&T. i don't think it's worth it to switch service providers only to have the iphone. the pissy item with the iphone is that the 8 gigs or doesn`t matter what is the only memory it have. it's not expandable, and its for your music and for all your contacts, phone system files, stored pictures and video, and everything else. its a finite amount of memory for greatly of stuff, better to keep doesn`t matter what phone you have and procure the ipod classic. much bigger memory for much less than the cost of an iphone.
Depends on like mad of factors. Who is your service provider? If it's not AT&T, are you liable to get controlled to unlock and jailbreak your phone so you can get it on your GSM introduce yourself of choice? If you are on AT&T, then that's one hurdle you don't own to go through.
Now consequently, the iPhone....
The iPhone has a executioner user interface and operating system. There is no denying that.
But....
Do you do a lot of picture messaging? If you do, you should know the iPhone have no picture messaging (MMS) capabilities. Sure, here is third party software for that, but it doesn't work capably, and will require you to jailbreak your iphone... which will void the warranty, unless you re-virginize it.
With an iPhone, you can simply use it on AT&T, unless you unlock it.
The iPhone is trendy, I'll give you that. But ask yourself a few question first:
Does the iphone have an above average Camera? No it does not. It's a doinky little 2MP camera beside no zoom, auto focus, and NO FLASH!
Can the iPhone record video at 30 frames per second contained by 640x480 resolution? No - yes, I know third party software...-
Does it enjoy GPS and turn by turn directions? No
Wireless (bluetooth) stereo? Nope. It has Bluetooth 2.0, but the individual profile that is available on it is the headset profile.
Removable Battery? Sorry.
IM Clients? huh?
Multimedia expansion slot? uhhh.....
Second camera for video calling? Hah!
Thousands of streaming audio stations? uhhh...?
VOIP?
Video out?
So much for a revolutionary communication device from Apple... And I'm a Mac snob!
I'd suggest a Nokia, enunciate an N95. It can act as a phone and as a music player. There are other efficient phones that can fill the dual role of receiver and multimedia device at the same time. In the bring to a close it comes down to what you like. Bling Bling beside no real functionality - iPhone
Not so much Bling Bling but lots of functionality - something else.
To the iPhone enthusiast boys that may object:
I've be jailbreaking and activating iPhones for a long time. I did the first unlock via Geo Hott's method. I also know a point or two about what's available on installer. I don't own any issues with (most) of the iphone's software capability... just near the hardware capabilities of the iPhone.
Check out

I conjecture you sould wait for the 16Gb iphone due out this summer. I chose the ipod classic which have 160GB. I think contained by the end it adjectives depends on memory.
id be in motion with the iphone... smaller number to carry around
i own the itouch and a sidekick but an iphone would be cool..its like 2 surrounded by one.....but get one next to alot of memory because if you like to put vids contained by it like me the memory runs out quickly.
