I read on apple's website about the clean SDK software. I watched the looooongggg video and variety of grasped on. My question is will ipod touch users know how to buy games for their touch or is that just for iphone users and does anyone know how much it will be for the ipod touch users? It suck the touch culture have to wage for upgrades (Like the january upgrade) but the ipod touch and iphone are the best device out there right presently so it's worth it to me.
Answers: Yup, the iPod Touch has a different marketing or something (I can't remember the term) so that it have to charge for a fee. Apple doesn't product money (unless you downgrade to 1.1.4, then delete the 1.2.0 stale your computer...thus making you buy it again).
Both will be able to buy/download (a lot of apps are free). iPod Touch will want to pay $25 for the firmware that puts AppStore and let you install. It will be a $25 upgrade to get the firmware update for the iPod Touch. iPhone owners will find it for free. Any application that doesn't require the telephony features of the iPhone should work on the Touch.
My understanding is that developers will be developing for both the iphone and touch. You will eventually know how to buy software through iTunes, for a fee that will most possible be set by Apple with a portion of the mart price going to the developer. So you should see some useful software coming through the Apple distribution canal, but it will mostly not be free...
