Will the iphone eventually be compatible with other mobile service providers such as verizon, t-mobile etc?
I conjecture its unfair it would just be for at&t customers, do u guys agree?
Answers: AT&T has license for the iPhone for the next two years. It wouldn't surprise me if it lengthen that contract or gets the first bid on the subsequent generation of iPhone and get the newer model locked down for a few years as well. Apple go to Verizon first because of the network reliability, but Verizon turned down the iPhone.
It doesn't event if you think it's unreasonable. Business isn't about fairness. It's nearly making money.
Don't worry. The iPhone will force other phone manufacturer to come up with similar designs to compete near the iPhone. Those models will be released with other carrier. This is probably just as capably. The reports I've been reading almost the iPhone tend to be pretty negative reporting a great deal of bugs. The iPhone has an exclusitivity contract beside AT&T. Usually those contracts last around 6 months, and afterwards the phone becomes "open", which allow other carrier to pick them up for their networks.
Probably not, although its most likley that the other companies will develope an Comparable phone soon enough.
