What are the Pros and Cons of a unlocked Iphone?
help me out contained by this situation,i need find out how can i establish to get information of a iphone to be exact unlocked.
what is the good and what is the discouraging?
Answers: Hrm.. I'm not a cell phone expert really.. but I believe the good is that you can use the phone near different service providers and perhaps there's clear in your mind added functionality as well... of the ultimate part I'm unsure.
The doomed to failure is that on other phone service providers obviously not adjectives the features on the iPhone will work.. namely the ones that are tied to your service provider. Furthermore, any insurance or warranty on the phone MAY be voided by messing around with it by doing things similar to unlocking it. In which case Apple or AT&T may not know how to help you out if something go wrong on an unlocked phone. Obviously if your using the iPhone with a phone service that doesn't really support iPhones, they may not be capable of help you out any.
Also, depending on how well it's unlocked, I believe the phones software is set to disable some features approaching the media player, if it's not connected to an authorized iPhone service provider.. namely AT&T if your within the US. Certain methods I do believe bypass that.. but phone provider specific features still shouldn't work.
In general, for the average character, I'd recommend against.. plus who really wants to be on Steve Job's desperate side ;)
