Iphone - can someone explain how purchasing one works in the UK? What if i buy one and backfire credit check?

I went to buy an iphone online today. Online it say you pay lb269 by credit or debit card and the phone is beside you next afternoon. It then go on to say you hold to activate it and choose a tariff when registering beside itunes. What happens if i recompense for the phone but when registering i fail the credit check? Am i later left near a phone i cant use? has anyone experienced this method of registering a phone or gone through this process? Please relieve!

Answers:    Ok in a nutshell, you buy it for lb269; when you seize it you register and setup. If you're a new customer and come to nothing a credit check one of two scenarios:
a) you compensate a bond, refunded after 3 months
b) you can save device but without phone nouns (basically an i-touch)
You won't pay anything unless you hold a fully working phone on a running contract. You'd have to know how to pay for the contract and know how to activate it, otherwise you'll be capable of take it final, not that you should, cos an iphone without a contract costs is cheap.

TBH you wouldnt be allowed to purchase it if they believed you cant afford it.
no its not resembling that, your simply registering your particular phone. respectively phone will have a matchless number and you register it to activate adjectives the features. if in doubt provide apple or o2 a ring. but generally they wouldnt be allowed to supply you a phone you couldnt use. I'm not sure.

You buy the phone for lb269 at either an O2 shop or online o2 store. When you catch the iphone home or gets deliver you have to cause it via itunes at the same time you do the credit check. If however if you go wrong the credit check you will be provided with an address to convey it back to. But what i be told its a very unfinished credit check.
