What are the pros and cons of unlocking an iPhone?

Is it true I won't be able to play youtube or soemthing similar to that?

Answers:    Unlocking only process you can use it on another cellular network.

For instance, If I buy a phone from verizon, it will ONLY thieve verizon SIM cards, but If you get It unlocked you can plug surrounded by a Cingular SIM card instead of the Verizon one.
