Why is the IPHONE so expensive?...$600 with ONLY 8 gigs?! AND you're stuck w/ 2 yrs. of Cingular!?
With the $200 carrier usually discount on phones with a two year contract...The iphone is in fact $800.00!...I think the phone should enjoy at least 30 gigs, a video camera next to light/flash, sell for $399 and require merely a 1 year contract (or no contract...Cingular should be content with adjectives the new business they would find...and you know the're going to charge more than $50/mo just for the data/messaging plan alone) Is apple getting greedy?

But look at it this bearing. If you get an 8 GB iPod, it'll run you $250. A really nice smart phone, similar to a Treo, will run you anywhere from $300-500. You're getting it all surrounded by one. It's still expensive, but I guess it's fairly permissible.
I do, however, agree with what you're axiom. Things seem overpriced these days. If you wait around 6-7 months, I'm sure you'll see a slight price drop. After a year, huge price drop.
