Does any other phone measure up to the apple iphone?
I hold been told that the nokia n81 is the nearest point to the iphone.

depends what you want in a phone compared to various phones available i would say the iphone is a poor comparison to most as it does not own 3g which is a big no no if you want video calling faster internet access etc also most other phones have mp3 players video playback etc the closest surrounded by looks would be the lg viewty but lg is known to have it in mind one thing Looks Good and nil more.
Don't be sucked in by the hype surrounding this phone, it's rubbish compared to loads of others on the flea market, it's technically archaic and demonstrates just how far Apple and others hold still to go to block up with the Far East. HTC, LG and Samsung own superior models on the market beside videophone conferencing, zoom cameras, Live TV, quad band and 3G adjectives for roughly the same price or a shade more.

On c5 closing week the gadget show did a head to lead with iphone and the Nokia N95, guess which won? The Nokia N95 won hand down. The Iphone is backwards technology it doesnt use 3g. so its not worth lb269 price tag. near is however plans to release a 3g version sometime subsequent year.

What you heard is incorrect. The nearest article is the LG prada which was supposed to be released to verizon...but they fixed to go next to a more hightech phone...called the voyager also by LG. It is highly similar to the prada except it flips open similar to the enV. It is wifi and it had a big amount of ram. It also is 90 gb!
Yes plenty of phones gauge up to it. I had a phone next to a 2 megapixel camera, played mp3's, could browse web page on AND had 3G going rear 3 years. Apple are relying on the hype surrounding the device to try to cloud people from seeing the iPhones long inventory of shortcomings. In Europe we have acclimatize to features we now treat as run of the mill - MMS (Picture Messaging), Video video recording capabilities, an excellent camera (for a phone), the gift to install third party applications (Sky by Mobile is a prime example of a must own for me), 3G for fast downloads to nickname a few - none of which the iPhone has.
In America the iPhone have been lapped up as they are not accustomed to have all this as standard surrounded by a phone. In fact strike your mind back to when the Motorola V3 be cutting creep..........3 years ago in Europe. In America the V3 be the hottest thing available until the iPhone be released. The Motorola Razr is almost an antique east of the Atlantic Ocean which is a testament to how far behind technology sage they are in the states.
Avoid the iPhone if you want you want to be see as a pioneer for technology, there are much more functional phones on the souk at much cheaper prices.
