IPhone (as iPod also)? OR each one for itself?

I enjoy an iPod classic (80 gb) which is working great for me, and I bought it right after it came out.
But I'm getting an iPhone immediately, which is 8 gb. As an iPod this space is fine for me, because I had the 4 gb nano since, and never really had a problem beside it.
But the thing is, I'm merely worried if I should use the iPhone as an iPod also, because if I could then I could supply my iPod and make some extra money. But I'm also anxious if it sucks my iPhone's battery go.

Just so you know, selling my iPod is not a major likelihood for me. I'm just considering it. So doesn`t matter what you thing is best for me (in expressions of battery life) consent to me know.

Hmm... I would also love to know your best and/or worst iPhone experience ever, (if you don't mind).

Any help would be appreciated.

Answers:    in good health yeah u could use it as an ipod n nah it doesnt waste ur battery-operated dat much only if u enjoy it on like adjectives the time...like wen im on myspace ...so yeah ur not goin 2 inevitability the classic no more i sold mine...my worst experience is when i droped it frm my pocket n it fell on some rocks lol!
