Can i procure an iphone and not gain the serivce?

I am thinking of getting an itouch but why cant you just get an iphone and not find the service plan, wouldnt it be the same a an itouch but with a camera?
Tyler you will not be capable of use any features on the iPhone till its activated. If you get a 3g iPhone it will be activate on the ATT network.
If you dont want to do that .. go next to the Touch. at&t sucks you hafta go to da store to buy and activate it. you cant of late buy it by it self anymore.
You technically can make the original iPhone do that (unlock and activate). But you're paying an extra $200 for a camera.

Anyway, you can't get the iPhone without service. Just close to you can't get the Blackberrys without service
You could. Well sorta. You would enjoy to start a plan then cancel it. And it is approaching $150. And the iPhone is expensive and same with the plan. It would end up individual like $900. There is no point. I have an iPod touch and it is awsome. It can do pretty much adjectives the things the iPhone can do without the camera and call/txt. It still has e-mail and internet and youtube. And it is abundantly cheaper and you can get it in 32gb. I also enjoy a video and my dad has a video, shuffle, and a new nano and my mom have a new nano and out of all those it is my favorite iPod. And if you jailbreak it and want to restore you don't have to worry give or take a few loosing all your things you need on your phone resembling contacts. It does have contacts though. yes, you can. You can get an iphone and use a different provider ( not ATT) , you in recent times need to look for unlocked iphone. google it and you will find it,.also if you want to buy an iphone and not to have any providers you can still do this and hold an access to wifi interent and itunes and such, however this will be just an ipod.
It would Be Fun if it was that assured

but to get the phone to work You need to affix a Number to it

and also.. Acitvate it

and Surscribe for a data Plan.. Just to be able to unlock the Darn entity
