I am an Egyptian guy and i want to buy an iphone 3G from the states is it officially recognized or not?

Answers: In US AT&T has exclusivity over iPhone so they will lock the phone to their net or maybe sell it to you minus a subscription (but 3 times more expensive).
So, if you can find it without a subscription and thus unlocked then it is trial. Otherwise you cannot buy it since I doubt AT&T will make a 2 years contract with you as an non-US resident.unsurprisingly it's legal. why wouldnt it be?
in this country, we don't restrict the rights of a consumer base on his immigration statusat least last time i checked.
