i unlocked it and put in my telestra pre paid sim card. will it work?

it depends as we received it after that in australia as we have the more credit 3g, we had to wait for them to brand name the phones good enough to be released here, so depending on which one you brought support... if it doesnt work call telstra!
It will, but you will only recieve the 3g network... so within rural areas IF you get reception, anything to do with wap (Internet and online video including video calls), it will be really really slow... but it will work...
It wont however hold the next g chip in it, so you wont bring the exclusive next g coverage which kicks *, and you wouldn't enjoy the wap problemo in rural areas...
