I enjoy an unlocked iphone, so how do I switch from my verizon flip phone to using the iphone?
I want to be able to use my iphone instead of my old verizon phone, so can i lately take out the sim card and put it in the iphone? or how does the complete process work? I bought a unlocked iphone so i can use it with verizon. please help
OK I have said this before.
You old-fashioned phone does not have a SIM card in it. Verizon is a CDMA holder which means they use a different radio system the GSM(SIM card) carriers. CDMA examples are Verizon, Cricket, and Sprint. GSM examples are AT&t and T-Mobile.
You own to activate the iPhone through iTunes and when you do that you will officially be a customer of AT&T. Some empire have unlocked the iPhone to work on T-Mobile but if the networks catch them they will enjoy a big fine waiting for them.
And not only that, but the two companies Verizon(CDMA) and AT&T(GSM) are not at all compatible beside each other in any passageway.

He is right. You have a phone specifically useless to you unless you are willing to cancel your verizon contract and sign a bright contract with a company that offers GSM base cell service

ummm, you should have done your research before you get an iphone. An iphone was made for at&t which is a gsm carrier(meaning it uses sim cards and a different newtork) Verizon is a cdma network and they dont use sim cards. Even though the phone is unlocked it will not work beside verizons network! sorry, but you just thin your money! return the phone if you can.
