They has the same software except that the iphone can cause phone calls and has a Microphone and Speakers and Camera and the (3G iphone) can make Video phone call , the games and the apps works on all of them

yeah the only difference between them is that you can make calls of the iphone but not the ipod.
They can even use impossible to tell apart apps
