Touch sensor on iphone ?
What exactly does the iPhone touch screen respond to? Is it heat? Just curious since it doesn't respond to a stylus.
I'm not sure if it's heat immediately. I put my finger on ice and it still worked.

it uses FTI. full touch interface, and a stylus wouldnt work. Same if you used gloves for it.
They do make a stylus type for the iphone, it's rounded and made of a soft type substance, but I've never used one.

the iphone has a capacitive touch screen. This money that it is responsive to human heat. so regular styluses, and fingernails wont work. Other phones have resistive touch screens. This mode that there are 2 thin pieces inside the phone. when these pieces are pressed together, the screen registers. so resistive touch screen are sensitive to pressure, and capacitive touch screens (like the iphone) are sensitive to heat.
