Will the iPhone ever be defeated?
I heard there's going to be a Palm Nova. It has a whole exotic operating system. It's not like most touchscreen phones who just use the same one that they've be using for years. They're starting from scratch. It'll also have an app store like the iPhone. It'll hold everything the iPhone has. Anybody here of other phones that might take the iPhone down?
I'm not hating on Apple, newly asking. (I have an iTouch).

The issue is not the iphone. Compared to most phones, the iphone is very feature wanting. The one thing apple is good at is marketing. in 2007, apple spent $100 million marketing the iphone. No other phone businessman has spent anywhere near that amount.
The next company that spends that munificent of cash selling a device that has standard features of most phones will over take the iphone within sales.
The two things that will prevent me from buying a phone:
Touchscreen
and an App store.
Any company that starts an app store, does it purely for their benefit. They will deny you the ability to install programs found online, and instead will force you to only download what is surrounded by their app store.
Touchscreens are the most overrated feature on a phone out there. I would never buy a touchscreen phone because they are so hard to use. Having no keypad mode you must pay full attention to what you are writing. I can pop out a text with a keypad while not looking at it. try that next to a touchscreen phone.
