Does the RebelSIM work near the 3.0 iPhone system software?

I realize the software has updated the baseband, and of course this means the exploits the RebelSIM uses may hold been patched. PLEASE provide a source in your answer or a video proving it or something. I can't risk updating and end up out of a phone.
