Iphone cydia problem?

whenever i start cydia it works perfectly. but when the times comes and i try to add a source it shows the black screen and it starts downloading things, while its downloading it other gets stuck on "downloading packages" and the only thing i can do is turn stale my cydia. and then reebot my iphone just to make my cydia work again.

does anyone know why that happen and a way to fix it. plz and thnx for the answers.

I had a problem with Cydia when I go to the 3.0 software. I found out that I should not have installed Cydia and Icy at the same time. I redid my jailbreak, installing one and only Cydia and then installed Icy afterwards. Everything works great now.
