I jailbroke my iphone 3gs but it wont work?

i jailbroke my iphone 3gs and i installed this one app for it and it messed up my phone so like when i turn it on i get a little apple and next it shuts off and i saw that there is a file you can use to fix it but approaching when i plug in my phone to my computer my computer dosent show i have an iphone plugged in plz support
