3g framework broken for iPhone 3g?

I bought an iPhone 3g and put my AT&T sim card in there, my plan is 3g as well. But for some idea the 3g network isn't on. I can't go on the Internet without wifi. Please relief me. Thank you very much.

This may sound stupid but have you turned on 3G within the settings. If you have then maybe rob to the Apple Store or call your service provider.

ok so i had my iphone 2g jailbroken on the 2.2.1 update then when i updated to 3.0 i didnt bother to restore my phone or change anything and i have used the Make it Mine app from cydia where it changes your service provider so instead of saying AT&T myn say something else ...i just restored...
