I occasionally trade on eBay and whenever I do I always set the price at $0.99 It generates more buzz/interest than setting it higher to its physical value (say $150 for a used iPhone 2G). Same thing goes near reserve prices - I never set them because I notice fewer people bid.

yeah id just resembling to say that some items (even if they are really really expensive items) will start at a low price normally 0.99p to get interest. it may give the impression of being cheap now but trust me, the last miniuts of that sale will be VERY giant prices. people creep up at the last miniute and grab it. some population on the other hand just wanna get rid of weak stuff!
