Iphone 3G?
well first of all after i hear that the new Iphone 3G is comming out and im looking forward to getting one. I heard that the 8GB is $199 and immediately my question is i already have own a phone, can i buy it consequently change the card inside. I just want to buy the phone not have to buy a contract with it too since i already have one.

Unfortunately, no. AT&T requires that everyone sign a new contract. You might have to salary for the increase in the new plan for the different iPhone 3G. Sorry and good luck.
First do you own the first Gen iphone? If you do then you own some options. (free upgrade depending on when you bought it) see apple site for more details. If you just a regular phone next to att service then see below:
1) can i buy it then redeploy the card inside? No you cannot. Your new iphone will come with a contemporary sim card and cannot use the one in your current phone. (only applies to iphone's)
2) I just want to buy the phone not have to buy a contract with it too since i already have one? It depends on when you started your initial AT&T contract. In decree to get the US$199 price tag, you own to meet AT&T's upgrade eligibility criteria. No word on the price for upgrades or the phone price without service...but it wont be $199.

It's 199$ with a plan. Without the plan it will cost more.
And no you don't have to seize a new contract to a new phone.
I spoke to someone from att and they said that its 199 for foreign contracts. I dont know how much will it be without the contract, and yes you can just adjustment ur sim card
