IPhone 3G minister to!!?

Hey everyone, here's my story. I bought the motorola SLVR L7 with a 3-year contract from Rogers Wireless. It has be 2 years now and my phone is starting to break. So I want to buy the iphone 3G but I'm not sure about the wifi point. If I buy it and put my sim card in and use that, would I be charged for using the internet (like some companies do with the iphone) or will my contract stay like peas in a pod and I can use the internet without being charged?

Thanks alot.

Answers:    when you buy a subsidized phone, you are required to agree to the contract. the iphone contract requires a 3g information plan. so yes, you could use your old sim in it, and know how to access the network just fine, but youll still enjoy to pay for the 3g data plan.
wifi is free.
To tag on to that, you will probably be able to use you old SIM card, but you will be required to sign on for another 3-year contract next to the iPhone. You are not required to purchase a data plan with the iPhone, but if you want to use the internet outside of wifi zone it is adviseable. Either way, unless you plan to use the internet exclusively in WIFI zone you will be charged for internet access, either through your data plan or through ridiculously lofty per MB rates
