Ok. I'm thinking of purchasing an iPhone 3G on a plan (any plan).
Two questions about safari on an iPhone 3G:
Does safari and youtube (if its on the iPhone) require your iPhone to connect to an access point? (like the iPod Touch?)
AND
Whether those two require an access point or not, will safari (and/or youtube) be free on a plan?
Answers: Yes you will call for some kind of connection. If your not fundamental a WIFI hotspot the iPhone will connect through 3G (fast) or Edge (Slow), the touch can only connect through wifi.
Most plans include free data, this is things close to safari, email, youtube etc.
In the UK all plans have free unlimited information but alot of countries have data cap which means you only draw from so much free data. Will the iphone work contained by the uk if i instruct it from the us? will i get signal and stuff approaching that You will have to unlock it and it will be a short time bit a difficult task.
