Is apple going to fashion the spanking new ipod touch next to a headphone jack so you can use any headset resembling the iphone?

The new apple iphone is coming out soon, and I was wondering if apple be going to update the ipod touch like the did the iphone, in that they be going to make the headphone jack a different way so that you could use any receiver instead of just apple's.
