Just bought iPhone 3G, can I end the background plan and not use that phone anymore?
I just bought the iPhone 3G with its information plan. I will give this cel to my brother as a gift. He own an account and can add the notes plan to the phone.
Can I do that? Cancel the data plan and not use the iPhone in my existing report?? I already have a phone to replace that.

I believe that you can cancel the plan, give your brother the phone, and after he can activate it through AT&T by signing up for the contract and the plans. But to cancel the plan you might hold to pay an early termination duty. I'm not sure if you'd pay the full fee if you a moment ago plan to cancel the data plan for iPhone but still hold an AT&T plan.
Your best bet is probably to go to AT&T and ask someone there.
