There is no reason for an iPhone user to gain an iPod Touch because there's nothing the iPod Touch has except for a 32 GB altered copy and it's thinner.
The 3G iPhone will also make the internet almost three times as fast and it have GPS (and costs the same as the iPod Touch)
Remember that the iPhone requires a monthly plan (expensive one at that).
They are both pretty much the same except one is a phone and one isn't. The ipod touch have a 32gb memory and the iphone is only 16gb. The iphone is more expensive in that you own the upfront cost but then you have a monthly phone bill and a two year contract. The ipohne have a monthly data plan that you must get when you get hold of the iphone. The data plan is the unlimited internet useage. I would say the crucial advantage of the iphone is that you can always gain on the internet regardless of your location (unless, of course you're out in the country of surrounded by a cave) were as the [touch] wifi is limited to lone [free] wifi areas which are few and far. I have the iphone; I've never had problems beside it when I'm driving or in any area. I other get the net. The ipod touch beside its wifi is really only primarily used in the house sense thats going to be your solitary source of free wifi which mom and dad pay for or you do if your big boy ( in that suitcase, it really not free). But then you have to reflect, if Im in the house why would bother with tiny handheld slow internet device when my PC is setting right at hand in from of me. So, in the wrapping up the ipod touch is really just a over rated device. The memeory is merely big enough for music and few videos but you don't involve a fancy hi-def screen to listen to music. The battery isnt too impossible in either device, unless you capture the app store and download a game, like crash bandicoot 3d nitro race, then you're battery will die surrounded by less then 30minutes of play. I speak from experince, on my iphone. If you decide which to get I would get the iphone if you enjoy the monthly funds. Here's a tip, if you get the iphone and you want to get a lower phone bill gain a family play you'll need two phone which appear ridiculous but family plans are cheaper then individual plans and you gat alike minutes and sense you the only person using the phones you dont hold to worry about the minutes, and in that are alot cheap free phone you can get when you sign up so reeally it doesnt cost anymore upfront and you'll save money. I enjoy a family plan and save close to $50 bucks a month. if you get just the iphone and the background package thats arounds 130-150, depending on you minutes, a month with my own flesh and blood plan I pay 107 w/1100 mintues a month.
