What's the big difference between the productive Iphone and the 3G?
I'm planning on getting the 3G and I was wondering why the 3G is so cheap.
the iPhone 3G have 3G capability, but also has GPS and supposedly much better battery life. Of course, there's the price too. But plan prices hold gone up with a drop in the hardware price.
And even if you are a current AT&T user, as long as you sign up for a contemporary plan you will pay $199 for the 8GB model.
The reason it is presently so much cheaper is that AT&T is now subsidizing the hardware. That means that if you promise to sign up for a plan, they will distribute you a heavy discount. This is how almost all middle-of-the-road phone purchases work. The old iphone did not work this way, but this is how they get such a big price drop.
is so cheap to lock in everyone attention and sell 10 million by the end of the yr. but the ambush is $10 xtra for the service, plus u gotta buy 3rd party apps from itunes. plus is going to be alot harder to download them for free without itunes. what a damn crock. we who bought the first iphone get ripped.
3G has 3G, GPS, nicer, cheaper
it is cheap because apple asked peoples why they didn't buy the iphone and 56% said because they are too expensive.
A 3gb Iphone doesn't enjoy as many features but some of the same ones.
iPhone 3G has GPS, Apps Store, better calculator, and fast 3G speed. It costs in the region of $200 less than the older iPhone but that's why it will cost $10 more on your AT&T monthly bill since the topical iPhone will run on the faster 3G network which allows you to talk and to surf the network at the same time or send email while you bargain. I have hte older iPhone and I love it!
The only difference is that it has 3G capability, which just means that it have faster browser speeds.
And in retrospect it isn't "so cheap". It is $199 with a brand new contract and after rebates and discounts and all of that crap. And at this point, the iPhone isn't the best point out there anymore, so it naturally isn't going to be so rediculously priced. If you are a current AT&T user, it will cost much more than $199.
